Biography

KRZYSZTOF J. BRATUN- was born in Wroclaw, Poland. In his native Poland he attend the High School of Art, and the Academy of Art, both in Wroclaw.

He moved to the United States in 1985 and after a decade living and working in New York City he settled in the City of Brotherly Love where he currently works as a Scenic Artist for the Theater and Film Industry.

Combining a fascination with the human figure and the landscape, Krzysztof has merged the two and developed a form he calls 'Body as Landscape.' Finding hills and valleys in cropped portions of torsos, these works in pencil and pastel present the human body as a living part of the Earth.
