Juri Kim was born in Seoul, Korea, where she received her BFA and MFA at Ewha Women's University. She continued for her MA and Advanced Professional Study at New York University, completing the Artist in the Marketplace Program at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. Kim has held numerous solo exhibitions in the United States and Korea and also participated in many group exhibitions internationally. She has been chosen to participate in several residency programs: Virginia Center for the Creative Arts; Centrum; Center for Photography at Woodstock; the Constance Saltonstall Foundation for the Arts in Ithaca; the Henry Street Settlement Artists-in-Residence Work-space Program; the Edward F. Albee Foundation; the Millay Colony for the Arts; A.I.R. Gallery Fellowship; Project Studio Program at Painting Space 122. Her work has been reviewed in "Art in America" (NY, 2003) and has been collected by the Henry Buhl Collection (NY, 2004). She lives and works in Philadelphia.
